This is a super smooth sample. I love this isolated guitar in the intro and I have been using a ton of these kind of samples recently. This is some Brazilian greatness here with the album titled track "Esperanças Mil" by Bebeto. I enjoy listening to this kind of music on the regular. If you never sampled any of the smooth soul from South America... I highly recommend using some.... starting here. Enjoy!
This is a blog for the new age "digital" music producer. We will post at least 1 mp3 sample per week, that any music producer can chop up and arrange into a great hip hop or east coast beat. We will post anything from OST, Library, Soul, Funk, R&B, and many other styles of music.

Bruno Nicolai - Cheek To Cheek
Here is a post from a 1970's OST titled "Eugenie" which is what I call a sleazy sample. It comes from the old school porn movies that all have this really nostalgic sound. Almost another worldly feel to everything. This is one of my favorite composers here, Bruno Nicolai... along the other names Ennio Morricone, and Francis Lai.. I myself hold no others in higher regard. These samples always have that drowned out sound... like everything is happening in a distance. Not really "reverbed" but just distant. All of the oohs and aaahs in these kinda samples have that feel of a sexy slut behind the mic. This is super dopeness, and super rareness at its finest. Always remember when watching older porn.. those musical cuts, had way more put into them than todays modern boom bap bullshit. Porn today... is all about the craziness.. This porn was true art. Enjoy!
The System - Don't Disturb This Groove
This is the kinda sample that I jam on my iPod when I am on vacation cruising somewhere in the Bahamas or Caribbean islands. Its that smooth feel good music that just sets the mood. I love this group, this LP and I have been a fan of "The System" for a looooong time now. There is no reason why anyone can't flip this into something incredible. It has everything a producer might want.. isolated sounds, good vocals, and them ooohs, aaaahs, and little vocal cuts that can really make a track dope. I hope yall like this as much as I do. This is one of my favorite posts so far. Enjoy!

John Martyn - Some People Are Crazy
This is something I can hear on the "Garden State" OST... or something with that same vibe. This is a smooth and groovy track that makes me want to kick back and roll a blunt. I love the really mellow samples that are so good, that you can just rap on them "as is" with no real work. I myself take pride in adding my own bass to every track I do, and I try to add instrumentation to make the sample... more my own. This is still something that doesn't need much added to make it a banger. Some samples sell themselves. This will appeal to almost any rapper because every LP needs a track with that kick back and chill vibe. This is that joint. Enjoy!

Ywis - Homo Sapiens
I usually hate on the "intro samplers" but in this case.. I had to sample this intro. This is a more hard rock sample that has the good 80s keyboard sounds accompanied by some killer guitar chugs. This is something you can sample for a more hardcore hip hop track. Anyone who can't turn this into a hard beat... sucks at producing. I usually like to have more sample to work with, but in this case, there is so much isolated sample with so much clean sound, that many things can be added without ruining the sample or muddying up your mix. I hope you like the more "hardcore"sample here off of the self titled debut album... on CD... yes.. CD..... by Ywis. Enjoy!

Glenn Jones - Stay
Baby making music is the best for samples. I heard this and thought about something Ricky Ross style with smoothness but Fabolous style with lyrics. I think either of them would kill my version of the flip. This is another 80s R&B style sample that just has a good sample in it.. and by good sample I mean.. its not too noisy or overpowering with sounds. I hate when people use clashy and loud samples with "too much shit" going on. This is not that sample. I hope you enjoy this jam off of the "Take it From Me" LP by Glenn Jones. Enjoy!
Michael Cooper - My Baby's House
This kind of sample is the epitome of what I love to use in my east coast bangers. I love the 80s R&B music with the older keyboard sounds from the Korg TR and Wavestation. The choirs are priceless in these kind of samples... this sample has none of those, but its along the lines of what I love to sample. If you like 80s R&B then this is perfect for the flipping. Post any tracks in the comments if you use the sample.
